Shortest Routes for Accounts
We would like to take this opportunity to explain in a little detail as to why we require all of our account bookings to be completed via the shortest distance.
Ensuring efficient field operations is a top issue for ourselves and all account businesses we currently hold. This is because even small reductions in transportation costs can add up to significant savings for the business that has entrusted Britannia to hold the account. With this in mind, our system and service businesses uses route optimisation software to help our drivers find accurate and the most optimal route for the benefit of the account holder.
Our accounts process is set up to allow account holders to chose the fastest or shortest route required. Nearly all account holder will opt to chose for the shortest possible directions to the destination, as mentioned above to help with heir savings within this process.
A simple example would be that a journey via a motorway outlet and B Roads may be 10/15 minutes differential in regards to time for the journey, however the quicker route is most of the time due to speed limitations, the longest also, avoiding built up areas. This avoidance and longer route adds to the cost of the journey.
We strive to meet competitive rates for accounts, and ensure our drivers are paid a fair amount for the services they provide.
The only time in which the quickest route can be taken is via a request made by an account holder to a member of contact staff in the call centre, who will in turn relay this information to a driver, to ensure a customer in a rush to a train/flight is able to make their appointment and keep to scheduling. This flexibility allows us to be shown to be putting the customer first at all costs.
We appreciate your understanding with our dedication to offering account customers the best service, this is one of the reasons Britannia hold one of the best account portfolios in the Northwest.
